Tatas, pull out of Singur! Now!

We always knew that the politicians are screwing up the country. Here is another affirmation; at Singur.

Here are the Tatas who are going to build the world's cheapest car, that is going to put India on the top of the auto business world. The Nano has made the world sit up and take notice of India. It has made all of us proud.

Then comes in Mamta Banerjee and spoils the party. The leftists are equally to blame. They have created the atmosphere of hartals endemic in the state and made life miserable for businessmen in Bengal. Today most of the Bengali's think that striking is their birthright and worse still, a substitute for hard work.

So as we were saying Mantadi comes into the picture and with her typical pig-headedness dug in at Singur. Her sole is aim is to defeat the leftists in West Bengal in the next elections. Singur is merely a handy tool to do that.

So like typical politicians, Buddhadev Bhattacharya, Mamta Banerjee and governor Gandhi sit together and hammer out a 'deal' to break the impasse. The Tatas were not even invited at the talks. And the issue at stake is their Nano plant!

So they talk and come up with a half-baked 'deal' that does not address the business concerns of the Tatas. Why don't the politicos bloody well understand that politics and business are two different things. Leave the businesses alone. They are capable of taking India to great heights. Don't poke your nose into their work. Also the country is not your father's ancestral property.

The Tatas should refuse the 'deal' reached by the politicians. They should pull out from Singur. That will bring Mamtadi and the leftists back to their senses. There are many other hospitable states waiting to welcome the Nano project with open arms.
