Is it stupid to be sensitive in today's world? The conclusion I am hastily reaching is yes. It is unwise to be sensitive. People like me have no choice. We are born sensitive. Emotional. Kind. Empathetic. We can't change. I can't change. I am that way.
And I am suffering because of that. Being sensitive 'weakens' you. It makes it difficult for you to be selfish and cruel. And to achieve anything today one has to be that. It is an animal world out here.
Then are human beings no better than animals? Only that they have more intelligence. Nothing more? Is kindness, love, compassion, being humane only for the books and movies? A spectacle that is to be seen as a show for three hours? Not to be seen and experienced in real life?
Makes me depressed. Because that means sensitive people like me are going to suffer a lot. We are in the wrong place. But I did not ask to here.
